The Monumental Cemetery of Bergamo

Designed by Ernesto Pirovano between 1896 and 1913, the cemetery is distinguished by its eclectic architecture, which frames the Pre-Alps with solemn majesty. It is a place that lies close to us all, and yet it is often perceived as distant. 

Through art, Contemporary Locus 17 will inhabit this space with the aim of returning it to the community and highlighting its human, historical, artistic, and architectural heritage.
